Thirty-eight funds surveyed have beaten their benchmarks over one-, three- and five-year terms, according to the financial services firm.

The STANLIB Money Market fund was among the winners of the recent Alexforbes fund manager survey, racking up an annual return of 9.7% and beating its index.
It came first in the category 18 money-market funds with a maximum duration of 90 days, returning most over one, three and five years.Its annualised returns over the latter two were 7.7% and 7.05%, respectively as at the end of July (see table below).
