My experience at Perryton High School was good. I got to make friends and learn about different subjects while staying in my comfort zone. The best part of attending Perryton High School was seeing new teachers and students each year. Additionally, teachers at Perryton high school would not force students out of their comfort zone. Such as speaking when a question was asked. The worst part was some of the teachers had a favorite student(s) and some teachers did not really teach their subject. A change I would like to see would most likely be more supervision of teachers to ensure that teachers are actually teaching the subject and getting their point through so students can understand.

When I started my freshman year I was involved in football, power lifting and on the bass team. This was a really good time for me. My whole life at this point revolved around sports. My sophom*ore year after football and at the end of the powerlifting season I discovered that I had congenital narrowing of the spine. I had bulging discs from L5 to S1. This ended my athletic career. My junior year was pretty much a blur. I was so devastated about not being able to play sports that I went into depression. I did however with the encouragement of my mother took up photography. I discovered that I had an eye for photography. My senior year this is what I concentrated on. I had a piece of art work that actually went to state. I also took audio/visual. This is where I got my passion for communication. I would be honored if you would consider me for this scholarship.

The School is a great place to learn in a small town but lacks in motivated teachers. I would like to see more staff that are motivated on making the school life bearable and enjoyable and would like for the administration to create more clubs, update the curriculum, update the interior, and create a more diverse lunch menu.
